Development Project Launched for the “Psychogun” from the Sci-Fi Manga Classic COBRA THE SPACE PIRATE

〜 Limited-edition commemorative items to be given away at Wonder Festival 2026 [Winter] 〜

Cerevo Inc., an internet-connected consumer electronics manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo, has launched a development project to recreate the “Psychogun”, the legendary weapon worn on the protagonist’s left arm in COBRA THE SPACE PIRATE, the science fiction manga by Buichi Terasawa. The product is planned as a full-scale (1/1) replica, with a release scheduled for winter 2026.

Cerevo, a Japanese company specializing in the planning and development of connected hardware, is developing the Psychogun, a powerful cybernetic arm-laser gun worn on the protagonist Cobra’s left arm, as a product that merges digital technology with a physical form. The Psychogun appears in COBRA THE SPACE PIRATE, a landmark science fiction manga that has continued to captivate fans worldwide since its serialization began in 1978.

Cobra is a globally popular science fiction series that portrays the adventures of the space pirate Cobra and has been adapted into animated series and a feature film. The Psychogun, a legendary weapon worn on the protagonist Cobra’s left arm, is controlled by thought and known for its overwhelming destructive power, is a symbolic element and one of its most important elements of the series.

While faithfully recreating the world of the original work, this product is being developed with the goal of allowing fans to experience the universe of Cobra through Cerevo’s technological expertise.

To commemorate the launch of the Psychogun 1/1 Project, limited-edition commemorative items featuring the official Cobra logo will be given away at the Cerevo booth during Wonder Festival 2026 [Winter], held at Makuhari Messe on Sunday, February 8, 2026, to visitors who meet the designated participation requirements.
